Fiera di l'Amandulu
Almond Tree Fair.
This "fiera di l'amandulu" is the brainchild of the Aregno Foyer Rural, presided over by Jean-Baptiste Antonini, a native of the village. In 1977, with a group of volunteers, he decided to restore the almond tree to its former glory through its culture, paintings, music and gastronomy.
The almond tree and its by-products, derived from ancient local food traditions, are celebrated by professionals and craftsmen vying with each other for expertise, with culinary demonstrations, musical entertainment, lectures and direct sales. Other artisans at the fair include cutlers, jewelers, interior decorators... There are also stands for tasting Corsican beers and wines, as well as the stars of snacks - sweet and savoury doughnuts. Entertainment for all and concerts in the evening in the village square.
